Fun Dad Stories

So my son loves to watch us cook. He is annoying about it because he gets offended if he catches us cooking without him and proceeds to scream until we hold him while cooking. Now, I am not the greatest chef, but some of my meals require two hands for everything to come out on schedule. For Christmas, we got him a grill. The evidence shows the grill is successful at cooking distraction while still letting him be apart of the process. The picture below shows us cooking some eggs after opening a few presents.  Here is hoping for one of the Top Chef Juniors.

Abimelek, the first king in Israel

Perhaps the writer of the Book of Judges included this story to remind the people of Israel what it was like to have a king since they end up constantly calling for one from Samuel.
